Get ready for an enchanting evening of music as renowned singer June Tang and singer-songwriter Samson Ling come together for the “Unplugged Concert” on the evening of May 12th, Mother’s Day. During this special event, the duo will perform reimagined and cross-generational renditions of popular songs.
June Tang is a Hong Kong singer whose musical journey began when she moved to Canada with her parents at a young age. In 2003, she made waves by clinching the runner-up title at the New Talent Singing Awards Toronto Audition, laying a strong foundation for her career. Signing with Star Entertainment (Universe) Limited in 2009, she formed J-Twins with Jay (a.k.a. Nanami), a singer from Japan, and released the single “My Dear Friend”. She ventured into independent music in 2010, continually delighting audiences with her fresh approach.
Samson Ling, on the other hand, is not only a talented singer-songwriter but also a notable music producer and vocal coach. Having spent over a decade in the United States, he was deeply influenced by a wide range of musical genres. His expertise lies in understanding and applying both classical and contemporary vocal techniques. In recent years, he has been actively imparting his unique theories and experiences in popular vocal music, attracting students from various entertainment fields including TVB, HKTV, ATV actors, stage performers, and record label artists. He previously served as a vocal instructor at Lingnan University’s School of Continuing Education and currently holds the same position at “Big Bang Music Ltd.”, a music production company owned by Mr. Cheung Kai Tim.
