CHIME Canada is holding a premiere of another Hong Kong popular film “The Narrow Road” in Toronto on January 7 next year. The film has won the “Best Original Film Score” and was nominated for the “Best Actor” and the “Best Actress” at the 59th Golden Horse Awards. The film is about how Hong Kong was affected by the pandemic and people living in between shadows and light. The audiences who are participating in the premiere will have an opportunity to speak with the director, Lam Sum, at the Q&A session. Tickets will be officially available on December 4.

Synopsis:
At the beginning of 2020, as the COVID-19 pandemic hits, small shops close down, one after another. Chak, who runs a small cleaning company, barely takes over the work on his own to make a living. One day, he meets a young single mother Candy and her daughter. Would their encounter save them during the recession of Hong Kong’s economy?
