About Rika Vuong

Rika Vuong, also known as 王麗嘉 (pronounced as “Wong Lai Ga” in Cantonese) and originally named Thuy Linh Vuong (王翠玲), is a prominent figure in the entertainment realm, symbolizing the dynamic blend of Asian and Canadian influences.

Her venture commenced in 2006 with her victorious achievement as “Miss Friendship” in the Miss Chinese Toronto Pageant, laying the groundwork for a diverse career path. Formerly associated with GME alongside Chrissie Chau (周秀娜), also recognized as “Chrissie Chau’s junior sister,” Rika has excelled in modeling, music, acting, and television, showcasing her limitless talents. She attained recognition in esteemed circles like the “New 8 Models” in Hong Kong and contributed her voice and dance prowess to the exhilarating Octobeez, the Hong Kong young female singing and dance group.

Despite occasional confusion with another distinguished model sharing the same Chinese name, Irisa Shannon Wong (王麗嘉), Rika’s distinctive charm and dedication always shine through. In 2013, she returned to her Canadian origins in Toronto to pursue further education and career advancement.

Presently, in 2024, Rika’s artistic journey reaches new heights with the launch of her Mandarin single “Chase,” demonstrating her steadfast passion and evolving creativity. With each endeavor, Rika Vuong continues to enthrall audiences, epitomizing the essence of cultural diversity and talent in Canada’s entertainment landscape.
