語言/Languages: 中文 English

The Taiwan Music & Food Fest is set to take place from June 21 to 23 at Mel Lastman Square in Toronto. As the most unique Taiwanese music and food festival in Toronto, this event is the city’s first Taiwan-themed festival focused on music, featuring Taiwanese pop musicians, local bands, and jazz performances.

Over the course of three days, attendees will enjoy a rich variety of Taiwanese music performances. Whether you’re a fan of pop music, rock, or jazz, you’ll find something to delight your ears. All performances are free to attend, making this musical feast accessible to a wide audience.

In addition to music, the festival will be filled with a wide array of Taiwanese culinary delights. From stinky tofu, rice tube pudding, oyster omelettes, and giant Taiwanese fried chicken, to grass jelly cakes, there will be plenty to satisfy your taste buds and give you a true taste of Taiwan.

A highlight of the festival is the “a+ Love Music Festival,” which will be held on the final day, June 23. This music festival was initiated in 2018 by Taiwanese musicians Kay Huang (also known as Kay), Heng Chi Kuo, and George Chen, with the aim of raising awareness and support for AIDS patients in conjunction with World AIDS Day. The Toronto edition of the “a+ Love Music Festival” will feature top Taiwanese artists, including Ar Ling Niang , Crispy Band, Wan Fang, Hush, Pei-Yu Hung, The Dinosaur’s Skin, and The Ice Cream (Kay Huang & Arthur & Kuo Heng Chi). One of the music directors, George Chen, will join other singers to perform the festival’s theme song, “Let’s Be Friends Now.”
