🎬 Actress Theresa Lee, who spent part of her childhood in Canada, recently returned to Toronto to promote her latest film and sat down with Jae Lau of EARS Online for a special interview. She shared her experiences and reflections on filming in Toronto.
During the shoot, she gradually became familiar with the city’s pace and culture, and was especially impressed by Toronto’s multicultural atmosphere. She also joked that she thoroughly enjoyed cycling around the city and exploring different foods—at one point even biking dozens of kilometers during the filming period.
In the interview, Theresa also talked about working with the young actress Kayla, who plays her daughter in the film. The two developed strong mother-daughter chemistry on screen, and in real life they also built a warm friendship. Theresa revealed that when she first started acting, memorizing lines was quite challenging, and now she is happy to share her experience with younger actors.
She also discussed the immigrant story portrayed in the film and the relationships it explores, noting that the emotions and experiences in the story may resonate with many immigrant families.
